Welcome to the home of the Skeleton Crew

A note from the commander:

Glad you dropped in

I'd like to take this opourtunity to tell you a little bit about "The CREW" (as we often refer to ourselves). When I joined the Skeleton Crew in August of '98, I soon came to realise that I had joined much more than a virtual flying club. Not only were they some of the finest aviators around, But they cared about each other, and the simming community at large. In recruiting, Strength of character is preferred over skill. And a Small, Close knit, group of friends, (a "Skeleton Crew"), is preferred over a problematic alternative.

That doesn't mean we're 'Elitist', or Snobish... FAR FROM IT ! ..To us, Being the 'Best',entails more than flying/fighting skills. It begins, and ends with 'SELF'... In other words, Practicing as Individuals, what we stand for as a Unit.. And remembering that FRIENDSHIP is more important to us than Numbers. As for developing one's skill.. Well, Suffice it to say that you won't find a deeper well of talent to draw from, Complete with our own "C.A.T.S." (Combat Aviation Training Syllibus). And taught by certified instructors.

We are a Small, but VERY Close knit group, And Fiercely loyal to each other, and those we support...
We are Highly Respected by our allies, And Revered as an Unrelenting and Worthy Adversary by our enemies.
So, As you browse these hallowed halls, Or anywhere else we frequent, Don't expect a lot of 'Join the Skeleton Crew!' banners, Or marching text full of recruiting slogans, You won't see em... (Save the unbridled and shameless display of pride you're reading now) [hehe]. Every member is 'hand picked' so to speak, We observe how an individual conducts him/herself over a period of time before we aproach them about joining. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, before commiting to something we might both regret.

Look closely at our logo, It describes WHO we are, WHAT we love doing, And HOW we do it, If you see an SC flying alone or in formation, You can rest assured He will ALLWAYS;

" Fly With Honour "

Enjoy your visit, and come back often!
